William W. Adams, MD completed his General Psychiatry residency at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Hanover, New Hampshire, having completed medical training at Baylor College of Medicine and earning his BA at Amherst College in Biophysics. In addition to board certification in General Psychiatry, he is board certified in Addiction Medicine. His career has spanned outpatient and inpatient care, and included supervisory roles at Harvard University and Boston University training sites. In addition to his clinical experience, Dr. Adams obtained an MBA from Boston University specializing in healthcare administration leading to leadership roles including Medical Director of Fairfax Hospital, a role he held for 10 years, and more recently, Chief Medical Officer of a local addiction and mental health outpatient clinic. As a clinician, Dr. Adams prefers a collaborative approach with his patients that brings his experience and expertise to help find a pathway to improved emotional and physical health.
